This competition is built by data pros for data pros. What this means is for each sweepstakes, we'll have some challenging quests that likely need the skills that data engineers, architects, analysts, or data scientists have. Check out our official rules to understand if you qualify as a data pro for the competition!
Sign up below to get started on your quests. You only need to enter once for a chance to win, but the more you play the more stars you'll gain, and your odds of winning will increase. We'll have a variety of quests on a weekly basis ranging from easy to technically challenging. When you complete each quest, you'll be assigned your stars. Each competition period has a cap of 200 stars.

How to playStarburst Space Quest League Sweepstakes
Starburst Space Quest League (SQL) is a gamified sweepstakes competition for data professionals. While the competition runs all year, there are four distinct missions, each with their own grand prize. During each sweepstakes, you only need to enter once for a chance to win, but the more quests you participate in, the more stars (tokens) you earn, and the higher your chance of winning.
Mission 4 Grand Prize
The Data Nerd Box!
Throughout Mission 4 of Space Quest League, Starburst will be giving away six boxes. "The Data Nerd Box" will consist of a pair of Beats, the YubiKey 5 NFC, the reMarkable, Meta Quest 2 Virtual Reality, the International Space Station Lego Set, the Oura Ring, additional Starburst swag and a surprise Golden Ticket. The winners will be announced every 2 weeks.

Starburst donated $10 for every valid contestant in Mission 1 and Mission 2 to two charities supporting Ukraine. The Mission 1 contestants voted to send the $5,000 donation to the Starburst for Ukraine Moneybox. The Mission 2 contestants voted to send the $5,000 donation to the Polish Humanitarian Action.
For the remainder of the Missions, Starburst will donate $1 for every valid contestant up to $90,000.
Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The Starburst Space Quest League Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (and the District of Columbia) and the United Kingdom who are at least twenty-one (21) years old and a data professional at the time of entry. Sweepstakes starts on October 1, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. ET / 1 October 2022 at 6:01 a.m. GMT and ends on December 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. ET / 1 January 2022 at 5:59 a.m. GMT.
