Starburst Enterprise platform (SEP) 388-e STS has been released as a follow-up to the 387-e STS release.

The release is based on Trino 388, which includes the following noteworthy changes:

  • Support for JSON output in EXPLAIN.
  • Improved performance for row data types.
  • Support for OAuth 2.0 refresh tokens.
  • Support for table and column comments in Delta Lake.

In 388-e, we’ve released public preview support for fault-tolerant execution. Note that this release also ends support for MapR-based Hive metastores and the MapR filesystem.

For more information, refer to the release notes for 388-e.
