Starburst Enterprise platform (SEP) 389-e STS has been released as a follow-up to the 388-e STS release.

The release is based on Trino 389, which includes the following noteworthy change:

  • Improved performance for row type and aggregation.
  • Faster joins when spilling to disk is disabled.
  • Improved performance when writing non-structural types to Parquet.
  • New raw_query table function for full query pass-through in Elasticsearch.

The highlight of the 389-e release is that data product users can now change the type of any dataset.

For more information, refer to the release notes for 389-e.
