Matt is a Software Engineer based in Northern California. He’s built multiple world-class systems and services in the IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS spaces. He’s spent most of his career building systems for very high scale.

He’s worked on Google App Engine, Amazon Web Services, and Oracle Cloud’s container-based offerings. Presently he’s at Starburst Data building a highly distributed, multi-cloud SaaS for running the opensource Trino data analytics engine.

When he’s not writing code, Matt can be found flying airplanes, building airplanes, or building The Man for Burning Man.
