There are many reasons for you to join Starburst. But I’m going to focus on the top 3:

Most recently, Starburst was named to the Inc. 5000 list, ranking #825 overall, #20 in Boston, and #103 in the software category. We’re honored to be recognized alongside other strong, successful companies across all industries as one of the fastest-growing private U.S. companies in our first year of eligibility.

We love our partners

We’re also thrilled to share that CRN named Starburst one of CRN’s Emerging Big Data Vendors to know for the second year in a row. The list highlights some of the most exciting channel-focused big data vendors with leading-edge technologies that are creating new opportunities for solution providers. CRN also named Starburst to its MES Matters 2022 list, which recognizes vendors that have proven themselves to be forward-thinking technology providers offering solutions that support the growth and innovation of mid-market organizations. Earlier this year, CRN also included our partner program, Starburst Orbit, in its 2022 Partner Program Guide. We’re grateful that leading publications such as CRN continue to recognize our contributions to the industry and are excited about the ongoing growth of our partner program.

Additionally, Starburst was recently named a finalist in the Microsoft Rising Azure Technology Partner of the Year Award, which recognized the successes and innovations of Microsoft’s partners. Starburst products Enterprise and Galaxy can be used on Azure to enable companies to extract value from data faster and turn those insights into business initiatives that drive revenue. We love data

Starburst also received the Data Access Solution of the Year award as a part of the 2022 Data Breakthrough Awards. As the new digital era is driven by data, and the importance of deriving value from data continues to grow, this award recognizes the companies innovating and paving the way for a data-centric future.

This year, Starburst was also featured on Future’s Data50: The World’s Top 50 Data Startups, capturing the sixth spot on the list, as well as insideBIGDATA’s quarterly Impact 50 and DBTA’s 100 2022 Companies That Matter the Most in Data.

Earlier this year, Starburst was featured on Forbes’ America’s Best Startup Employers list, which highlights the top startups working to create an environment and culture that celebrates transparency, openness, and teamwork. Finally, from a company standpoint, Starburst was also featured on two startups to watch lists: Built In Boston’s 22 Boston Startups to Watch in 2022 list and 2022 CDO Magazine’s 25 Data Startups to Watch in 2022. Given the record-breaking amount of startup movement in 2021, we are honored to have been named alongside other leaders in the industry.

We love our team

In addition to these company and product recognitions, we’ve also gotten to celebrate a few individual team members this year, including our CEO and Co-Founder Justin Borgman. In May, Justin was named a finalist for the New England Entrepreneur Of The Year Award for his demonstration of long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth and impact. We’re excited to celebrate Justin with this honor and congratulate the winners of this year’s award!

We are also thrilled to celebrate Colleen Tartow, our Director of Engineering, and Keavy Murphy, our Director of Security for being named to the shortlist for the 2022 Women in IT Awards, which honor their outstanding contributions to the technology industry.

Our Director of Event Marketing, Mandy Darnell, was honored with Goldcast’s Goldcaster award, which celebrates leaders in the event marketing industry who use the Goldcast platform to its fullest potential. Mandy has helped the Starburst team run more than 50 events every year, such as our cornerstone event Datanova, which had more than 5,700 registrants and 2,500 attendees this year.

Our Director of Content Marketing, Chitra Rakesh, was named as a finalist for Masthead Media’s Women in Content Marketing Awards 2022, in the Content Marketer of the Year award category. This award recognizes exceptional content marketing contributions for an organization, and we are thrilled Chitra was recognized as a finalist for her work.

Finally, I am honored to have been named a recipient of the CRN Women of the Channel Awards, and a nominee  for Women Leaders in Data & AI Woman Leader of the Year, alongside Jacqueline Vail who is nominated for the rising star award.
