At Starburst, we’re partnering with Google Cloud to allow hybrid and cross-cloud federation of data and analytics. With this new offering, Starburst supports data federation  for Google BigQuery & leverages metadata curated by Dataplex. It grants users the power to run analytics across data centers cost-effectively and securely within Google Cloud and other public clouds, as well as on-prem.

Today, Starburst is available on Google Cloud’s Marketplace, with Starburst Enterprise and SaaS product Starburst Galaxy. Organizations of any size can query their data in Google Cloud quickly with a guided intuitive interface in the web browser. With Starburst, you can run queries that access data in Google Cloud, Oracle, SAP, Teradata, and many others- all simultaneously! Without data movement, organizations can query and join data across clouds, on-prem, no matter where the data lives with over 45+ enterprise connectors. This enables organizations to gain critical business insights faster and easier.

The new offer will allow a fast connection between client’s Google BigQuery data and other data sources, including a white-glove setup. This offer allows companies to have support and guidance through their setup of Data Federation across BigQuery and another source, and to deploy a proof-of-concept for federated analytics in little time.  This white-glove setup is accompanied by a two-week trial period, which allows you to be deployed and running analytics with no upfront costs, and then to transition into pay-as-you-go after the trial.
