Starburst Enterprise 2022 Q1 (370-e LTS) Release

• Introducing Starburst data products! Data products allow domain owners to create, publish, and manage data products in a central location for end users to query
• Built-in access control, allows users to easily create groups of users based on their specific role and the privileges they are allowed directly from the Starburst UI.
• Revamped Starburst Enterprise UI is updated for simplicity, with an intuitive sidebar menu for better usability and management. 

• Improved CPU utilization capabilities so our users can get more power out of their existing infrastructure
• Numerous connector enhancements, most notably accelerated Parquet reader for Iceberg, and native OPTIMIZE support for Delta Lake

Starburst Galaxy Updates

• Add Amazon Redshift as a data source to unlock data federation across your data lake and data warehouse
• Connect securely to S3 via IAM roles
• Access PostgreSQL and MySQL securely via SSH Tunnel

Trino Meetup Groups

We started three virtual groups: trino-americas, trino-emea, and trino-apac that will serve as a place for everyone to meet by timezone. Once we are able to do in person meet ups again, they will be a place to go if you don’t have a Trino meetup in your town or want to attend both physical and virtual meetups. The long term goal is to slowly expand to more local small meetups.
