Justin Borgman Honored by Goldman Sachs for Entrepreneurship

Starburst CEO & Co-Founder featured among the most exceptional entrepreneurs at 2022 Builders and Innovators Summit

Boston, MA – October 12, 2022 – Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) is recognizing the Co-founder & CEO of Starburst, Justin Borgman, as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2022 at its Builders and Innovators Summit in Healdsburg, California. Goldman Sachs selected Borgman from multiple industries to be honored at the two day event.

Before founding Starburst, Borgman was Vice President & GM at Teradata (NYSE: TDC), responsible for the company’s portfolio of Hadoop products. Justin joined Teradata in 2014 via the acquisition of his company Hadapt where he was co-founder and CEO. Hadapt created “SQL on Hadoop” turning Hadoop from a file system to an analytic database accessible by any BI tool. Since its founding in 2017, bootstrapped by Borgman at the onset, Starburst has experienced explosive growth, establishing itself as a leader in the data access and analytics space with a differentiated solution catered to today’s data challenges and realities. 

Under Borgman’s leadership, Starburst has become one of the fastest-growing analytics startups to reach unicorn status, with $414 million in total financing at a $3.35 billion valuation.
