Frequently Asked Questions

- $500 in Starburst Galaxy compute resources to fully explore the platform
- Access to paid tier features including autoscaling, cross-region connectivity, and access controls

What is Starburst Galaxy priced based on?
Pricing is based on the uptime and usage of your clusters.
What is a worker hour?
Each cluster in Starburst Galaxy is made up of 1 or more workers. Worker nodes allow Starburst Galaxy to scale horizontally – more worker nodes means more processing resources. Per worker hour means that you are charged based on the number of workers in your cluster and the total uptime.
Where should I start with the size of my cluster?
We recommend starting with a smaller size cluster and moving up to a larger size as your SLAs, concurrency or workloads require.
Is pricing the same in every region?
Starburst Galaxy prices may vary based on geographic region and cloud service provider. For details, please see the detailed pricing page.
How does billing work?
You are billed on total uptime of worker hours down to the second with a minimum of one minute
