Does Starburst allow you to create and use a custom connector?
FOR SEP, Yes. The path is slightly different, like /usr/lib/starburst/plugin instead of /usr/lib/trino/plugin. Check out the developing custom connectors section of the docs to learn more.
Starburst Enterprise is compatible with Trino SPI. So you can write a custom plugin using Trino SPI from version X and use it SEP version X too. However keep in mind that custom plugins may affect the entire product. In case of issues, support may ask to not use custom plugins in order to make sure the are not affecting other components.
